Eau Claire, WI – Eleva man to participate in Home Run For Life.
Mike Wolf, a native of Eleva, WI, will participate in the first of two Home Run for Life celebrations at Carson Park for the 2021 season.
Wolf tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020. Unfortunately, upon exposing itself to Wolf, the virus made him so ill he was admitted to the hospital, where he would stay for 43 days. Wolf was so ill, in fact, that he needed to be hooked up to a mechanical ventilator to stay alive. Fortunately, Wolf was able to return home fully recovered in time for his 40th birthday.
Tomorrow, the Eau Claire Express welcomes Wolf and his family out to the ballpark to watch the Express take on the Mankato Moondogs at Carson Park. Mike will run the bases during the game and be recognized for his Home Run for Life presented by Mayo Clinic Health System.
The Mayo Clinic and the Eau Claire Express wish Mike and his family best wishes in the days ahead.
