Eau Claire, WI – The Eau Claire Express got back to their winning ways on Thursday night, beating the Minnesota Mud Puppies by the score of 6-3.

The Express pitching continued their early-season dominance as they shut down the Minnesota offense for most of the night. Trey Felker (Montevallo) was stellar on the mound, allowing two runs over six innings of work while recording six strikeouts. Adam Stanton (Iowa Western CC) got his second three-inning save of the season and retired five Mud Puppies via strikeout.

Eau Claire’s offense continued their patience at the plate, taking eight walks including three from Cole Conn (Illinois-Chicago). Conn also added a two-RBI ground rule double for the Express’ first runs. Kevin Tuttle put a solid performance as well, contributing two hits and runs scored in the winning effort.

The Express travel to Mankato Friday to take on the MoonDogs at 6:35 CT.
