Eau Claire, WI – The Eau Claire Express took down the St. Cloud Rox in a back-and-forth game to complete the 2-game sweep at Carson Park on Monday night. The final score was 9-8 in a game that featured multiple lead changes.

The Rox took a early four-run lead, but the Express posted a seven-run 3rd inning thanks in part to Sam Kuchinski’s (Montevallo) grand slam. St. Cloud snatched the advantage back in the 5th, but the Express answered once again, this time on a solo homer off the bat of Cadyn Schwabe (North Dakota State) to tie things up. Trevor Haskins (Stanford) made his fourth hit of the day a big one, driving in the go-ahead run in the 7th. Matt Helwig (Lewis) shut the door in the 9th for his fourth save of the season.

The Express have the day off tomorrow with the first half of the season coming to an end.
