Eau Claire, WI – The Express fell to the St. Cloud Rox on Friday night 7-2, ending their eight-game home winning streak.

The Rox got on the board early on a two-run homer off the bat of Ethan Mann (New Mexico State) in the 2nd inning. Charlie Szykowny (UW-Stout) would answer right back, hitting his fifth home run of the year for Eau Claire and making it a 2-1 contest. St. Cloud would break the ballgame open in the 3rd though as Charlie Condon (Georgia) cranked a three-run shot over the left field fence to give the Rox a four-run lead. The Rox would put up two runs and the Express scored one on a bases-loaded walk.

Express starting pitcher Trey Felker (Montevallo) struggled in this one, allowing five earned runs on four hits over three frames. Rox All-Star starter Hunter Day (North Iowa Area CC) was able to tightrope out of some sticky situations, giving up seven hits but just one run in five innings of work.

The Express travel to Waterloo to take on the Bucks for the last series before all-star break.
