Duluth, MN – With less than a week left in the regular season, the Eau Claire Express are finding their stride at the perfect time. After their 8-1 victory on Tuesday night against the Huskies, the Express have now won four in a row and eight out of their last nine games.

The Express showed great patience at the plate, drawing eleven walks including three free passes from leadoff man Cadyn Schwabe (North Dakota State). Eau Claire only produced six hits but Clay Conn (Illinois-Chicago) managed two triples, a new single game record for the Express. Schwabe swiped three stolen bases increasing his season total to 30 and added two RBIs along with Trevor Haskins (Stanford).

Montevallo product JJ Pease got the start on the bump for the Express, going five innings and allowing just three hits and one run. Derek True (Cal Poly) and Isaiah Katz (St. Cloud State) each tossed two innings in relief, combining for eight punchouts.

The Express travel to Mankato on Wednesday for a two-game series with the MoonDogs. A reminder that Express playoff tickets go on sale on Thursday, August 11th at 9 AM.
