Express Fans,
As we close the book on the 2026 season, it’s clear this summer will stand as one of the greatest in Express history. From record‑breaking performances to unforgettable comebacks, this team reminded all of us why baseball at Carson Park is so special.
On the field, they delivered moments we’ll talk about for years — including a historic comeback from a 10‑run deficit that captured the grit and identity of this roster. They played with energy, toughness, and tenacity, breaking countless records and proving they were one of the best teams in the Northwoods League. And while we didn’t finish with a championship trophy, their unity and resilience made us incredibly proud.
We continued improving the fan experience, adding live video to our WNB Financial Video Board and bringing new ways to connect with the game. Carson Park is entering a new chapter as well, with construction beginning soon and brand‑new permanent bathrooms ready for the 2027 season.
None of this happens without the people behind the scenes. Dale Varsho and our coaching staff once again set the tone for excellence. Jake Horan, in his first year as General Manager, delivered in every way, and we’re thrilled to have welcomed Avery Bartholomew to our staff — her thoughtfulness and commitment have already made an impact.
Our Host Families remain the heart of our organization. You are the reason this team feels like a family. Thank you to Melinda Huth and Anita Coenen for making sure every player has a real home away from home, and to every single family who opened your doors, your kitchens, your schedules, and your hearts. You didn’t just house our athletes — you cared for them, supported them, and became part of their story. We are deeply grateful for the love you pour into this team.
To our interns, ushers, concession teams, grillers, and every game‑day staff member: thank you for greeting fans with warmth and pride all summer long. Your dedication is a cornerstone of the Express experience.
And to you, our fans — from Eau Claire, Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Bloomer, and beyond — your passion fuels everything we do. You packed Carson Park, lifted our players, and helped make this historic season possible.
As we look ahead to 2027, we carry the momentum of this remarkable team with us. More enhancements, more innovation, more youth‑baseball partnerships, and more unforgettable nights under the lights are already in motion.
Thank you for making 2026 a season defined by heart, history, and unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Carson Park next summer as we continue pushing the Express forward — together.
