Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two position players by signing junior infielder Ty Herrenbruck (Pittsburg State) and junior outfielder Joe Mason (Mount Olive)

Herrenbruck, a 6-foot-3, corner infielder, out of Overland Park, Kansas, has started all 15 games for the Gorillas. He is currently hitting .245 (13-53) with two doubles and a team high five home runs. Herrenbruck is no stranger to hitting balls over the fence as he hit 14 home runs for Johnson County Community College as a sophomore. The infielder hit .417 (96-230) with 15 doubles and six triples to add to his impressive sophomore campaign. Pittsburg State will take on Newman tomorrow night in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Mason, a 6-foot-0, outfielder from Morehead City, North Carolina, is off to a red-hot start for the Mount Olive Trojans. Through 14 games, Mason is hitting .400 (20-50) with five doubles, two doubles, and a team high five home runs. The junior is also patient at the plate and boasts an incredible .529 OBP. As a sophomore at Pitt Community College, Mason hit .458 (60-131) with eight doubles, six triples, and 12 home runs. He has led Mount Olive to a 12-2 start, and they will take on Barton in a series this weekend.

The Booyah are adding two quality bats to their lineup with the addition of Herrenbruck and Mason. Both are older and experienced players who will look to make an impact in the Northwoods League.

The Green Bay Booyah open up the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
