Team honored with League award for the third time in the past four years

Ashwaubenon, Wis. – The Northwoods League has announced the Green Bay Rockers were awarded the League’s 2026 Organization of the Year award. The honors, which were decided by a vote of team officials and presented at the League’s annual fall League Meetings in Grand Forks, North Dakota last week, are given annually to the League’s top organization. This was the third time the Rockers have received the award in the past three years, having previously won the honor in both 2023 and 2025.

The Northwoods League Baseball Organization of the Year comes after a season which saw the Rockers come up one game short of a second consecutive postseason birth and a 39-30 overall record. Green Bay had 54,526 fans come through the gates over 32 openings for the highest average attendance in team history (1,704 per game) for Rockers games and over 115,000 in total for all events held at Capital Credit Union Park. In addition, the team donated over $135,000 throughout the community through local partnerships and fundraising efforts. In addition to the Rockers, Capital Credit Union Park, and The Bassball Cages training facility, the organization also oversees concessions operations for UW-Green Bay Athletics, St. Norbert College Athletics, Weidner Center, and Cornerstone Community Center through the company’s Boomerang Catering services.

“Receiving the Northwoods League Organization of the Year award three of the past four seasons is a special milestone for us,” said Vice President and General Manager John Fanta. “It takes a dedicated team believing in our core values to make an impact on our community. My sincerest thanks go out to our ownership, associates, coaches, players, host families, and corporate partners. Above all, thank you to our phenomenal fans, whose unbelievable energy and support drive our mission forward every single day.”
