Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two sophomore pitchers by signing Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) and Luke Wallner (Meridan).

Lane, a 5-foot-11, lefty from Webb City, Missouri, is off to a strong start for the Gorillas. He leads the team with seven appearances and through 12.2 inning pitched he has compiled a 2.84 ERA. The sidearm lefty is holding hitters to a .227 AVG and has struck out 10 while only walking three.  As a freshman at Fort Scott Community College he pitched 20.2 innings and had a 3.92 ERA. Lane had 24 strikeouts to only nine walks in his freshman campaign. Pittsburg State will take on Lindenwood in a three-game series this weekend in St. Charles, Missouri.

Wallner, a 6-foot-0, right hander from Forest Lake, Minnesota, is already 2-0 for the Eagles this spring. Through his first two starts he has pitched 7.2 innings and has struck out 10. He has only allowed three hits and two walks thus far and has done a great job of keeping hitters off the bases. As a freshman, he worked 32.1 innings and went 6-1 in 13 appearances.  Wallner is committed to pitch at Arkansas Little Rock following his sophomore season with Meridan. Meridan will take on Nunez Community College for a double header tomorrow.

The Green Bay Booyah open up the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
