Green Bay continues to search for the right recipe

FOND DU LAC, Wis.The Green Bay Booyah are set to host the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders tonight for the second time this season. In last night’s affair against the Dock Spiders, the Booyah fell, 15-7.

The Booyah were able to string together a handsome amount of hits, as they collected 15 base knocks. Dalton Pearson, Tristin Garcia, Johnny Hipsman and Ryan Wickman all had multi-hit games. Matt Rivera hit a home run in the fourth inning.

The bullpen couldn’t neutralize the Dock Spiders’ late push. Fond du Lac scored 13 unanswered runs, six in the sixth and seven in the eighth.

The Booyah will turn to veteran Logan Lee. Lee, who enters his third season with the Booyah, went 7-2 in 12 starts for Northwood University. In 64 innings, he struck out 59 batters. He also threw a complete game.

The Dock Spiders will roll out right-handed pitcher Garner Spoljaric from Stetson University. He went 0-1 in 15 appearances and had an ERA of 6.75.

It will be Youth Sports Night on Saturday night at Capital Credit Union Park. The first 500 kids 12 and under will receive a youth jersey presented by Capital Credit Union and WRFV Local 5. Kids will also run the bases postgame presented by Culver’s and Y100 FM. Lastly, there will be a postgame firework show presented by Pepsi.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Come to the ballpark on Sunday for our 1:05 pm game against the Lakeshore Chinooks. The Booyah will debut their new G.O.A.T.S jerseys as The G.O.A.T.S play on Sundays, presented by WDUZ The Fan.
