Green Bay travels to Rapids

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. – The Green Bay Booyah are on the road for the first time this month as they travel to Wisconsin Rapids to battle the Rafters.
The two teams dueled at Capital Credit Union Park on Thursday night. The Rafters scored five unanswered runs in the final three innings of the contest to run away with an 8-3 victory.
Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) hit a leadoff home run to start the night offensively for the Booyah. It was his third home run of the season. Tristin Garcia (Western Kentucky) had a two-run triple in the loss. Jett Thielke (Madison College) pitched five innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs and striking out four.
Boston Mabeus (BYU) will get the start for the Booyah on Friday. The Nevada native is 0-1 on the season with a 3.26 earned run average.
Justin Beyer will start for the Rafters. He is 1-3 on the season and carries a 4.46 earned run average. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
The Booyah will return to Capital Credit Union Park on Sunday as the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders come to town. First pitch for Sunday’s game is 1:05 pm. It will be the final G.O.A.T.S Play on Sundays, presented by WDUZ The Fan. Fans can Play Catch on the Field postgame, presented by Capital Credit Union. There will also be a Capital Credit Union logoed baseball giveaway.
