Green Bay looking for second home win of 2022 following five-game road-trip

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers will face off against the Lakeshore Chinooks in their first home game since June 16, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.

The pregame concert performed by Logan Spicer will start at 5:35 p.m. with this game also being the second of four Woof Wednesday promotions presented by Vital Essentials.

The Rockers are coming off a five-game road trip, and most recently falling to Lakeshore 9-1 in six and a half innings after the game ended early due to lightning.

Green Bay scored their lone run of the game off an RBI sacrifice fly from Brendan Ryan, but the Chinooks led from start to finish as they won their third game in a row coming into the sixth matchup of the season between the two teams.

In his Green Bay debut, Ryan Culley pitched three innings while only giving up one run on four hits and striking out two as well.

Matt Scannell reached base two out of three times at the plate after hitting a double as well as drawing a walk, leading the Rockers offensively along with Griffin Selby in terms of hits.

As for Wednesday’s matchup, the Rockers will start Justin Loer, who enters this game having pitched in three games so far this season and last pitching June 16 against Lakeshore.

Loer currently has a 3.38 ERA in 16 innings pitched while giving up six earned runs and striking out 22 batters in all.

The Chinooks will start Scott Rouse, who currently has a 1-1 record and a 2.25 ERA. Rouse last pitched June 16 against the Rockers and threw three innings while giving up three earned runs and striking out three as well.

The Rockers will host the Wausau Woodchucks following Wednesday’s matchup, in the second of back-to-back home games on Thursday. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.
