Green Bay looks for fourth straight win following sweep of Lakeshore Wednesday

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers take on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Thursday with first pitch set for 6;35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park as Green Bay looks for the fourth straight win after a sweep of the Lakeshore Chinooks in the doubleheader on Wednesday.

The pregame concert performed by Pat McCurdy will begin at 5:35 p.m. with Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act also attending the ballpark. It is also Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark in which there are half price domestic tap beers through the fifth inning.

Green Bay most recently won both games on the road at Lakeshore and now are winners of three games in a row and are in second place in the Great Lakes West Division for the second half.

In the first game, Tristin Garcia led the way with five RBIs capped off by a three-run home run in the top of the eighth to give the Rockers the 9-6 victory.

The Rockers won the second game 6-5 and Garcia added three more RBIs to cap off his eight-RBI day as Green Bay held on with a 4-6-3 double play ending the ballgame.

Luke Singleton will get the start for Green Bay as he comes in with a 0-0 record and a 5.06 ERA with his last appearance coming back on July 24 against Lakeshore.

Singleton has seven strikeouts on the season with 11 walks and has not yet earned a decision in three games pitched.

The Dock Spiders will start David Hagaman who comes in with a 1-3 record and a 4.24 ERA with his last appearance coming back on July 22 against Wisconsin Rapids.

The Rockers and Dock Spiders will square off once again Friday at Capital Credit Union Park in the second of back-to-back meetings. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
