Green Bay aims for series sweep in regular season finale against Madison

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers take on the Madison Mallards for the final time this regular season Tuesday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. from Capital Credit Union Park.

The pregame concert performed by Brian James will start at 5:35 p.m. with it also being TV Tuesday at the ballpark. The winner of baseball bingo will receive a new 50” TV. It is also ‘Ashwaubenon Night’ at the ballpark as part of Village’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.

The Rockers most recently took down the Mallards Monday night at home 5-4, in which they scored the last two runs of the game to secure their third straight victory.

Tristin Garcia, and Brett Blair each had themselves an RBI for the Rockers while Matt Scannell delivered the game winning RBI in the seventh.

The RBI from Scannell came on a fielder’s choice as Scannell’s speed brought home a run in for Green Bay, handing them their sixth win over the Mallards in 2022.

As for Tuesday’s matchup, the Rockers will send Will Semb out to the mound as he comes in with a 4-5 record in 50.1 innings pitched with 24 walks and a league leading 58 strikeouts.

Semb last pitched in the MLD Showcase and pitched one inning in that game, striking out all three batters he faced in the frame.
