Green Bay looks to eclipse 40 wins for the second straight year

Ashwaubenon, Wis. – The Green Bay Rockers will close out the 2026 Northwoods League regular season tonight, taking on the Madison Mallards in the 70th and final game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Warner Park in Madison.

The Rockers enter tonight’s finale following a 10-7 loss to Madison on Friday. With the defeat, Green Bay was eliminated from postseason contention and will not have the opportunity to defend its Northwoods League championship.

Fans can tune in to tonight’s season finale live on WNFL 99.7 FM and 101.9 FM.

For his fourth and final appearance of the summer, Skyler Sievert (UW-Whitewater) will take the mound for Green Bay. The right-hander has posted a 7.11 ERA and 2.05 WHIP across three appearances this season.

Sievert will look to bounce back from a difficult outing in his most recent appearance, when he surrendered five earned runs on five hits in just one inning. He recorded the third out of the inning before being pulled after exceeding the league’s pitching limit.

On the season, Sievert has recorded four strikeouts and five walks over 6⅓ innings of work.

Madison will counter with Henry Bishop (DePauw), who will make his first appearance of the summer for the Mallards. Bishop made one appearance during the spring season at DePauw, allowing four earned runs over 4⅓ innings.

Although the Rockers’ season will not extend into the postseason, Green Bay will look to finish the 2026 campaign on a high note and close out the summer with a victory. A win would make it back-to-back seasons with 40 or more wins, a mark the franchise has never reached.
