The Rockers travel to Warner park for the final two games of the season
Ashwaubenon, Wis. – The Rockers will look to take down the first half champion Mallards as the 2026 season winds down. Game one of the set begins at 6:35 tonight in Warner Park. Green Bay is yet to win at the Duck Pond this season, but they are 4-0 against Madison at home.
The division standings tightened up after last night as Green Bay won and Lakeshore lost. Now the Rocker playoff scenario is to win out and have Lakeshore and Wausau lose out. With two games to go, the Chinooks take on Rockford with Wausau battling the Mud Puppies.
Connnor Cavo will head to the mound for tonight’s contest. Through five starts in this second half, Cavo has an 8.35 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 18 innings. The righty works with a devastating fastball that hovers around the mid 90s.
A big key for Cavo will be to find some depth. He is yet to record a quality start of five innings or more. His last appearance against Royal Oak was one where he got knocked around as the Leprechauns tagged him for five runs through three innings. The command was an issue in the first handful of starts, but as of late, he has lived in the strike zone.
Santiago Carilles will be the catcher for today’s game. Green Bay has continued their carousel of players behind the dish, and today the battery duo is Carilles and Cavo. With Madison’s aggressive baserunning, it’ll be key to keep runners in check.
