KALAMAZOO, MI – The fans that stuck around for post-game fireworks at Homer Stryker Field were awarded with free baseall this evening. Tonight's Kalamazoo Strong Night game took 13 innings and close to five hours to decide a winner. The Green Bay Bullfrogs were able to come out on top of the Growlers by a score of 6-5.

Scoring in this game started early with four total runs in the first inning. Green Bay was able to get two runners across the plate thanks to RBIs from Quincy Nieporte and Austin Clemons. But, Kalamazoo answered back with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Nick Hutchins delivered with a base hit to drive in his college teammate Connor Kopach and Matt Lloyd followed that up with an RBI of his own on a fielder's choice to even the game at 2-2. 

The Bullfrogs took the lead back quickly. They added one run in the second inning on a bases loaded walk and another in the fourth on an RBI single. Both Green Bay runs were driven in by Marcus Shoemaker. 

The score remained 4-2 in favor of the Bullfrogs until the final two innings of regulation. Jordan Verdon drove in Dan Robinson to cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the eighth. Camden Duzenack was able to tie the game in the ninth on a base hit that brought Kopach home. 

The two teams traded runs in the first of four extra innings. Shoemaker drove in his third run of the game in this frame on a base hit that Randell Kanemaru crossed home on. Kalamazoo's Kasey Cooper tied the game back up with a sacrifice fly to bring home Brady Cherry. 

This one ended in the Bullfrogs' favor in the the 13th inning. They were able to use a hit-and-run to perfection when Brian Lees sent a fastball the other way into right field and Marcus Shoemaker was able to go from second to home on the play. 

Kalamazoo will remain at home for a two game weekend series with the Rochester Honkers. This series will begin Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. EDT. Tomorrow's game will feature Mad Chad the Chainsaw Juggler presented by Edward Rose and Sons Apartments and also Making a Murderer defense attorney Dean Strang.
