Nevada Wolfpack Send Two to Honkers

(Rochester, MN)The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Michael Fain and outfielder Jordan Dunatov, both from the University of Nevada Wolfpack.

Fain is a 6-foot-6, 185-pound sophomore from Clovis, CA. He made his 2014 season debut on Feb. 14th, getting the start against Santa Clara.  Fain went 4.1 innings, allowing only 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 3, getting the no decision in the Wolfpack’s 4-1 victory.  As a freshman, Fain posted a 3-3 record with a 7.77 ERA.  Primarily used out of the bullpen making 26 total appearances and 1 start, Fain struck out 23 batters in 24.1 innings of work.

Dunatov is a 6-foot-6, 205-pound junior who transferred in from Central Arizona College.  He’s made one start during their opening weekend, going 0-3 at the plate in their loss to Boston College on Feb. 15th.  He finished his sophomore season at Central Arizona, hitting .262 with 14 RBIs and 4 doubles.  He was also 8-11 in stolen bases.

The Rochester Honkers 21st season begins on May 27th when the Waterloo Bucks prance into Mayo Field for a 7:05pm first pitch.  The Honkers will play 72 games in 2014 (36 home, 36 away).  Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available.
