(Rochester, Minn.) The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing infielder Ryan Kohlhofer from Defiance College in Ohio.

Kohlhofer is a 5-foot-6, 160-pound junior infielder from Walbridge, Ohio.  He is currently hitting .250 with two doubles, 5 RBI’s and a perfect four-four in stolen bases.  Kohlhofer has started every game at shortstop and is the team’s leadoff batter. He is one of five players to have started all 11 games so far.

As a sophomore, Kohlhofer started 38 games, hitting .272 with nine doubles and 20 RBIs.  He was eight of 11 in stolen bases while posting a .909 fielding percentage.  His freshman season saw him start 32 of the 34 games he played in.

A graduate of Lake High School in Walbridge, Ohio, Kohlhofer earned three varsity letters in baseball, was a two-time All-Wood County selection and a two-time All-Suburban League performer.

Temporary players are guaranteed 10 days with the team with a maximum stay of the end of the first half, depending on roster size. 

The Rochester Honkers 22nd season begins on May 26th when the Mankato MoonDogs bark into Mayo Field for a 7:05pm first pitch.  Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available.
