The Rochester Honkers defeated the Mankato MoonDogs 6-2 at Mayo field today in seven innings in the first game of a doubleheader. Alex Evans (Barton CC) got his second win of the season for the Honkers. Reggie Myer (Minnesota) got the loss for the MoonDogs. The second game of this double header will begin at approximately 7:40. 

 
The Honkers scored five runs in the third inning, highlighted by Brad Mathiowetz's (DMACC) two-run blast over the wall just left of center field. It was the Rochester native's first homer of the season.

The Rochester Honkers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
