The 2015 MLB Draft saw nine current and former Honkers selected. 2014 Honker alumnus Michael Freeman form Oklahoma State was the first to go, being picked in the seventh round by the Houston Astros with the 199th overall pick. Freeman was 3-1 with a 1.72 ERA witht the Honkers last season.
Two current Honkers, Matt Kent and Adam Walton were selected. Kent, a Texas A&M Aggie who played three years for the Honkers, was selected in the 13th round by the Boston Red Sox with the 381st overall pick. Kent lead the Honkers in starts, innings, and striekouts each of the last three years, and was a NWL All-Start and Co-Pitcher of the Year in 2014.
Walton from Illinois was the other current Honker chosen. He was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles with the in the 20th round with the 613th overall pick. Walton, an All-Big Ten selection at shortstop this year, is set to play his fist season in Rochester after spending the 2014 sumemr with the Madison Mallards.

The Honkers are at home tonight, Thursday, June 11th, for a double header against Alexandria beginning at 6:05. The teams will play two seven-inning games to make up their postponed game from May 29th. There will be a Lanyard Giveaway, and it will be Walk in the Light Church Night.
