Honkers add right-hander from the Sunshine State

(Rochester, Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers have announced the signing of Chad Tworek, a junior from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Tworek is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound right-handed pitcher from Lake Worth, Fla.  He pitched at Polk State College for his first two years of college baseball, finishing his sophomore season 3-2 with a 2.80 ERA.  He made 20 appearances, pitching 45.0 innings and striking out 45.  As a freshman, he went 7-1 with three saves.

Tworek then moved on to Keiser University but due to formal eligibility requirements, he is unable to play this spring.  Keiser University is currently 25-12, and under the pitching guidance of former Rochester Honker pitcher, Joey Housey.

The Rochester Honkers 25th season begins on Tuesday, May 29th when the team hosts the Eau Claire Express in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. 5-Game Packs and Kids Club Memberships are available now!  Season Tickets, ½ Season Plans, Suites and Patios are also available.
