LA CROSSE, WIS – After winning game one the Rochester Honkers were unable to complete the sweep against the La Crosse Loggers, losing 6-2 tonight at Copeland Park. 

AJ Campbell (Frostburg State) started the scoring in the top of the second with an RBI double, his sixth run batted in of the season. Rochester added another on a groundout off the bat of Theo Hardy (San Jose State). La Crosse got a run back in the bottom half of the inning after Xavier Casserilla (Wichita State) scored on a double steal. 

The Loggers tied the game in the fourth on Blaise Priester’s (Louisiana State) second home run of the season. Priester struck again in the sixth, giving the Loggers their first lead of the night with an RBI double. La Crosse tacked on two more in the inning on a wild pitch and ground out to take a 5-2 lead. 

The Loggers extended their lead in the seventh on another home run, this time it was off of the bat of Landon Wallace (Nevada). 

Trey Frahm (Southern Nevada) locked down the Loggers win with a scoreless ninth.

Rochester falls to 3-5 on the season. After a league wide off day tomorrow the Honkers will begin a two game series against the MoonDogs in Mankato on Wednesday night. Lance Santerre (University of San Francisco) makes the start. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
