ROCHESTER, MINN – The Rochester Honkers completed a two game sweep over the Waterloo Bucks with a 9-8 walk-off victory on Wednesday night at Mayo Field. 

The scoring started early and often in this one. Waterloo took the lead in the top of the first on a Ryan Grabosch (New Mexico State) RBI single. Afterwards the Honkers took the lead and then blew it open. Nico Regino (Charleston Southern) hit two run single in the first to give Rochester the lead and Alex Pimentel hit a grand slam in the second to make it 6-1. The Honkers added another on the second RBI hit for Regino tonight to take a 7-1 lead after two innings. 

But the Bucks fought back. They put up four runs in the fifth inning to get within one. Ryan Grabosch hit a two run single and Colin Kasperbauer (Ohio University) drove in two with a double. Waterloo tied the game in the seventh. Kasperbauer hit a solo home run to make it 8-7 and Kyle Huckstorf (Iowa) tied the game with a two out RBI single. 

Th game would stay tied until the bottom of the ninth. With the winning run at second Theo Hardy (San Jose State) dunked a game winning single into left field, scoring Colby Wilkerson (UNC) and capping off the Honkers second walk-off win of the summer. 

Rochester improves to 10-12 after winning their third in a row and fourth of their last five. They will head to Eau Claire to try to keep the good times rolling. AJ Campbell gets the start in game one of the two game series tomorrow night.
