WATERLOO – The home-standing Waterloo Bucks began the final week of the first half of the 2009 Northwoods League season with a 5-2 loss to the La Crosse Loggers.
It was a matter of what could have been for field manager Pete Lauritson’s crew. Waterloo (10-20) stranded 10 runners on base during the evening. La Crosse (19-12) used 12 hits, including a double and home run from Greg Holt (North Carolina), to gain the win. Holt also figured into the pitching statistics with his second save.
