With 80 of 103 pitches thrown being strikes, the Buck had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning when La Crosse center fielder Tony Mueller (Winona state) got a hit. By the end of the game Wagoner had given up five hits, three earned runs and one walk.
Fellow Buck DH McCool (pictured below left) had a hot night at the plate going 3-for-4 with three hits and a RBI. In the bottom of the sixth McCool lead off the inning by taking a hit from a pitcher Calvin Drummond putting him on first base starting the six run inning. McCool did work on the bases stealing one base and scoring three of the nine runs earned. Currently McCool is batting .478 for the Bucks.
