The Waterloo Bucks took another loss against the Wisconsin Woodchucks 5-1.  The Woodchucks bats were firing from the first inning and the Bucks just couldn’t keep up. 

The Bucks could not get the bats going and recorded only three hits on the night, and scoreing one run.  CF Landon Anderson hit the only double for the Bucks during the game.  2B Ellis Lowe and DH Ryan Rieger each hit singles.  3B Zach McCool had the only RBI.   

Starting pitcher Taylor Massey threw for seven innings giving up seven hits and three earned runs.  Keeping control, Massey walked one and fired hard for eight strikeouts.  Currently Massey has a 1.41 ERA.  Steven Richardson came in for relief in the eigth inning closing out the game.  Richardson allowed the Woodchucks four more hits, but only one run scored.  Richardson currently sits at a 4.71 ERA. Wisconsin’s Nick Capito was credited with the win and closer Mitchell Beacom took the save.  Waterloo’s Massey recieved the loss.

The Bucks had only one error and managed to pull off a double play.

On Monday, July 26 the Bucks head to Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to play the Rafters in a two game series.
