A high scoring game between the Bucks and Bombers ended on Saturday night with a Bucks’ victory 14-9. Winning pitcher Will Strack closed the game out, keeping the Bombers scoreless in the last four innings.
Cranking out twenty-two hits to earn fourteen runs, every Buck of Saturday nights game recorded at least one hit and all but two made it home to score. The Bomber’s couldn’t get any strikeouts against the Bucks but closed the night with five walks. With the bats swinging from the first inning, there were twelve runners left on the bases.
Bucks first baseman Ryan Rieger (pictured) blew up the plate tonight going five-for-six. Rieger pounded out a double, a triple, and three singles bringing in five runners and scoring two runs himself. CF Willie Argo was also hot at bat going three-for-four bringing in four runs and earning his tenth stolen base of the season. LF Landon Anderson went four-for-six earning three runs. DH Jake Astor, 3B Brandon Williams, RF Nick Anderson, and C Jeremy Lucas all cranked out two hits a piece. 2B Tyler Robbins and SS Andrew Ewing both closed the night with a singles.
On the mound, starting pitcher Brad Watson threw for four innings giving up four hits, four runs and striking out three. Staten Island native Eddie Medina relieved Watson in the fifth. Medina gave the Bombers three runs off of four hits before closing pitcher Will Strack took the mound holding the Bombers at nine runs for the remainer of the game.

Bucks have a day break Sunday but are on again at Riverfront Stadium Monday, August 10 against the Eau Claire Express. Gates will open at 5:30 P.M. for Buck Night featuring $1 beer, $1 hotdogs and $1 popcorn. It’s also Summertime St. Patty’s Day and Riverfront Stadium will be selling green Coors and Miller Lites. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 P.M.
