This week we are catching up with former Waterloo Bucks third baseman Adam Gaylord. The Baltimore Orioles drafted the Long Beach, CA native in the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft in the 31st round out of Stanford University.
This past year Gaylord played with the Aberdeen IronBirds of the Rookie League. During the year Adam played in 68 games hitting .264 with 13 doubles and 1 triple, and 2 home runs with 26 RBIs.
To start the 2011 season Gaylord has started with the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic league. Currently Adam has played in 4 games to start the season and has started 3 for 14 with 1 double. Adam will continue to work through the system this year and we will update you on his progress.
Gaylord played for Waterloo in 2007 where he appeared in 48 games, during his time with the Bucks Adam collected a .280 average and hit 7 doubles while knocking in 19 runs.
