5 Questions with former Buck Matt Kramer presented by MaidPro.
1) Where did you go to college?
I went to Harvard and studied biology. I’m happy to say that I’ve yet to utilize my degree and have had the opportunity to pursue professional baseball for the last 4 years.
2) What have you been up to since playing with the Bucks?
I have been playing professional baseball since I graduated. First as a catcher and first baseman with the Atlanta Braves organization and then last year as a pitcher in the Boston Red Sox organization.
3) Who do you think is going to win the World Series this season?
As a native St. Louisan, I’m going to have to pull for a St. Louis cardinals repeat. That last run was fantastic.
4) Do you have any advice for the youngsters?
My advice would be to pursue your dreams to the fullest and do everything you can to make that dream a reality. I definitely wasn’t ever the biggest prospect but by finding a good weight program, pushing myself in the summers like playing in the best leagues like the Northwoods league, you’d be surprised by how far that will take you. Hard work will outwork talent everyday.
5) What is your favorite memory of playing with the Bucks?
My favorite memories are the friendships I’ve made and continued to this day with my host family, the Peverils, and my teammates. Also playing in front of 8,000+ fans during our last series versus Madison was pretty memorable. It truly was the most "minor league" experience I have ever had up until now.
