Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced post-game plans for their July 6th game versus the Willmar Stingers. The Bucks are inviting fans to bring their lawn chairs and blankets to the game in order to sit in the Riverfront Stadium outfield grass and view that evening’s fireworks festival which will be held at the nearby National Cattle Congress. In addition, at the completion of that night’s game, the Bucks will drop beer prices to $2.00 in order for fans to cool off on an evening that looks to be quite warm.
The nearby fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 10:00 pm. At that time and unless the Bucks’ game is still being played the stadium lights will be turned off for fans to enjoy the show. Fans without a game ticket for that night are still in luck, as the Riverfront Stadium gates will be opened to the public after the completion of the fifth inning.
The Bucks are currently on the road, starting a three-game series tonight versus the Mankato MoonDogs. Waterloo returns home on Thursday, July 5 where they will face Willmar in the Second Half Opening Night. That game features the Cedar Valley’s first fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day, with a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Single-game tickets are still available for sale by calling the Bucks’ ticket line at 319/232-5633 or by utilizing the team’s website at www.waterloobucks.com.
