Waterloo, IA – Premium seating upgrades that began in May at renovated Riverfront Stadium have been completed. Four rows of new, cast aluminum seats have been installed behind home plate at Riverfront, home of the Northwoods League’s Waterloo Bucks.
A total of 97 new box seats have been installed along with 130 new premium seats. The Bucks plan to begin their 2013 season ticket campaign in early-November which will feature these new seating areas.
“The Bucks are extremely happy with the new seating areas here at Riverfront Stadium,” said Bucks General Manager Dan Corbin. “These new premium seats will allow our fans to have a more comfortable experience at Bucks games. We thank the City of Waterloo and the Black Hawk County Gaming Commission for their continued efforts to refurbish Riverfront and look forward to our upcoming 2013 season ticket launch.”
Waterloo Leisure Services workers began the removal of the old plastic blue box seats, which were originally installed in the early 1990s, in May. During the Bucks’ 2012 season, box seat ticket holders were allowed to sit in the front two rows using plastic folding chairs. Within the last few weeks, the final phases of the installation process of the new seating areas concluded.
The 2013 Northwoods League schedule is expected to be released in November. Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks in the off-season by utilizing their website at
