Last year, Miller appeared in 12 games for the Little Giants, starting nine. The 6’0”, 190-pounder finished the season with a 5-3 record, a 2.39 ERA, and 76 strikeouts in 71.2 innings. Miller held opposing hitters to a .244 average and racked up one save, earning him first team All-North Coast Atlantic Conference honors.
"I am really excited for the opportunity to play for the Bucks this summer,” said Miller. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Northwoods League and I am looking forward to the experience."
Last summer, Miller played for the Chillicothe Paints of the Prospect League where he appeared in 10 games, finishing with a 4.41 ERA and a 5-3 record. The St. Louis, Missouri native struck out 55 and was named a mid-season All-Star.
"J.T. is a power lefty who has plus command and great secondary stuff,” said Bucks’ pitching coach Tony Manville. “He knows what it takes to pitch at this level and his movement will be tough on wood bats. J.T. is a very hard worker and will be a great addition to our pitching staff this summer."
Born September 21, 1991, Miller attended Lafayette High Schoolwhere he lettered in baseball and football. J.T. is the son of Kirk and Lori Miller.
