The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced that pitcher Adam Dian has been named the AKA Services Bucks Player of the Week. Dian, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is currently a Sophomore at Temple University.
Dian appeared in two games over the week and gave up zero runs, two hits, and struck out 12 batters in 4.2 innings of work. On Sunday against the Mankato MoonDogs, Dian earned his first victory of the season, entering the game in relief, he allowed two hits and struck out nine batters in 3.2 innings.
Dian has been overpowering this season. He has served as the Bucks primary closer and is currently third in the Northwoods League with six saves on the season. In 14 innings, Dian has only allowed six hits, struck out 27 batters, and has yet to surrender a run.
