Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks have announced that Scott Montesano will return as the Bucks’ radio announcer for the 2014 season.  Montesano enters his second season with Waterloo and sixth year in the Northwoods League.  Montesano previously acted as the Director of Broadcasting for the Eau Claire Express from November of 2005 through April of 2010.

"I'm very excited to return to Waterloo for another summer with the Bucks and the Northwoods League,” said Montesano.  “Every summer I've been in this league has been an absolute joy and last year was a magical one with the Bucks.  Along with the Bucks' organization, I wish to thank my wife for allowing me the opportunity to come back to Waterloo."

Montesano recently finished up his sixth season as the Director of Communications & Radio Broadcaster for the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League.  Originally from Utica, New York, Montesano graduated from Marist College.  Montesano has a wealth of broadcasting experience in both baseball and minor league hockey with positions in Maine, North Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Scott return to the Bucks’ radio booth for another summer,” said Bucks General Manager Dan Corbin.  “His passion for the game, unique perspective, and fun-loving attitude on and off the air make him the best broadcaster in the NWL, in my opinion.  I can’t wait to tune in to 1330 AM ESPNespn 1330 kwlo this summer to hear Scott’s voice over the airwaves.”

Scott, his wife Angela, son Derek, and daughter Alexia reside in Urbandale, Iowa.

Recently, the Bucks announced that all 72 regular season games will again be broadcast on 1330 ESPN (KWLO-AM).  This is the second year in a row that the Bucks and 1330 AM ESPN have partnered to make the station the “Home of Waterloo Bucks Baseball.”

The Bucks will open the 2014 season on the road versus the Rochester Honkers on May 27, but return to Waterloo for their home opener versus Rochester on May 28.  Season tickets and group outings are currently on sale.  For more information, call the Bucks’ Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633.  Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks in the off-season by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com.
