Hawke Named 20th Season Fan Favorite Team Extra Infielder; This Week’s Vote: Extra Outfielder

The results are in and the fans have voted Phillip Hawke as an extra infielder for Waterloo's 20th Season Fan Favorite Team. Hawke won voting totals, tallied from Facebook, Twitter, and e-mails. Totals are listed below. Hawke played with Waterloo in 2004, and was named NWL MVP in the same year. During his MVP season, Hawke led the league in home runs (11) and RBIs (41). The Texas Rangers drafted Hawke in 2005, and he was invited to Florida Marlins camp in 2008.

Each Wednesday, between now and Waterloo’s Home Opener on May 28, the Bucks are allowing fans to vote for their favorite players or managers in the efforts to create the “Bucks 20th Season Fan Favorite Team.”  Using their Facebook, Twitter, and website platforms, the Bucks will announce a list of nominees at a certain position.  Fans will have until 11:59 pm CT each Tuesday to vote for their choice.  After voting is complete, the Bucks will announce the fan favorite at that position.
