DULUTH, MN  Every player in the lineup had at least one hit as the Waterloo Bucks defeated the Duluth Huskies 8-4 on a chilly Thursday night at Wade Stadium. Connor McClain led the offense with three hits, a nice base running play and a diving catch in left field.

Nick Soria had two hits and two RBI while Steven Goldstein also had two hits as part of a 14 hit barrage by the Bucks.

Nick Deckert went five innings to earn the win in his debut with the Bucks.

The Bucks have won four straight and 18 of their last 22, but remain 1.5 games behind North Division leading Wilmar.

Waterloo never trailed in the game taking a 1-0 lead in the first on a David Kerian sacrifice fly out.

Duluth tied the game with a run in the second, but the Bucks went on to score seven unanswered beginning in the third. Pat MacKenzie scored from third base on a wild pitch with two outs to put the Bucks back in front 2-1.

In the fourth, Steven Goldstein added to the lead with a RBI single and Luke Stratman brought in a run with a fielder's choice to make the score 4-1.

Zack Soria delivered a two-run single in the fifth that extended the lead to 6-1.

In the sixth, Pat MacKenzie extended his personal hit streak to 10 with a RBI triple that made the score 7-1 and Jon McAllister finished the scoring with a RBI single and it was 8-1.

Duluth would get a pair back in the sixth and another in the ninth, but lacked the clutch hit all night. The Huskies stranded 17 runners on base including the bases loaded twice.
