Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks have announced they will host a baseball watch party at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium on Tuesday, July 2 when the Bucks face the Thunder Bay Border Cats on the road.  With one game remaining in the first half of the Northwoods League standings, the Bucks need one win or an Eau Claire Express loss in order to clinch a playoff spot and become the Great Plains East subdivision first half champions.

The game will be shown on the ballpark’s 474 square foot LED video board.  Gates open at 5:30 pm with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 pm.  Admission is free.

The Concessions Stand will be open, and individuals are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to watch the game on the field, with bleacher and grandstand seating also available.  Outside food and drink are not allowed in.

The Bucks will host the 2019 Northwoods League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 16 and tickets are currently on sale.  The ballpark welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association.  Team ownership has invested more than $300,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, kids zone inflatables, and concessions equipment.  Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com or utilizing the Northwoods League Mobile App.
