Waterloo headed to Willmar to start a two-game series against the Willmar Stingers and a great starting pitching performance carried the Stingers to a 5-1 win.

Willmar tallied their first runs in the fourth on an RBI ground out and base hit. Jayson Newman added a run in the fifth on a ground out to short.

Waterloo finally got to Willmar starter John Bezdicek after he tossed five and a third perfect with a Brett McCleary solo homer to right-center.

Tyler Wilber would put salt on the wound with a two-RBI base hit to left to put the Stingers up 5-1. Wyatt Thompson shut the door with an inning and two-thirds, all strikeouts.

Bucks and Stingers face-off for the final time tomorrow with first pitch tomorrow night at 7:05.
