The Waterloo Bucks (20-10) earned their 20th win of the season by steamrolling the Rochester Honkers (13-15) by a 12-2 final on Thursday night. Eight different Bucks hitters had at least one base hit while five members of the starting lineup scored two runs. Josh Kasevich (2-for-5, R, 3 RBI) and Max Jung-Goldberg (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) each produced multi-hit games while Chris Seng (1-for-3, 2 BB, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB, ROE) reached base in four of his five plate appearances.

Harrison Cook took a no-decision after firing 4.0 scoreless frames, scattering two hits and three walks while striking out two.

Cameron Repetti (1-for-3, R, 2B) led off the second inning by crushing a double to deep right-center. Two batters later Drew Bianco (0-for-1, 3 BB, HBP, 2 R) was hit by a pitch, then Sam Biller (1-for-4, BB, 2 R), Seng and Jalen Smith (1-for-4, BB, 2 R, 2 RBI, SF) rapped three straight singles to score Repetti and Bianco. Kasevich added to the action by reaching on a fielder’s choice with an error that plated Biller, followed shortly by a two-run Jung-Goldberg double laced down the right field line.

Leading 6-0 entering the third, Emi Gonzalez (1-for-3, 2 BB, 2 R, SB) and Bianco opened the frame with back-to-back walks and advanced on a Biller groundout. A wild pitch scored Gonzalez, then Seng drew a walk and stole second. Smith lifted a sacrifice fly to right, plating Bianco.

The Bucks went on to plate three more in the fifth on a Seng RBI reach-on-error and a Kasevich two-run single.

Eli Emerson earned his first collegiate win with a scoreless fifth, then Cameron Hagan covered the next 2.0 frames while striking out two. Brycen Mautz closed things out with 2.0 scoreless frames, striking out the final four batters he faced.

Waterloo returns home on Friday for a 6:35 p.m. CST first pitch against the Willmar Stingers, opening a four-game homestand in the Cedar Valley.
