Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (6–10) won their second consecutive game against the La Crosse Loggers (3–11) on Tuesday, 5–4.
The game-winning run was scored in the bottom of the tenth inning when the Bucks loaded the bases with two outs, leading to Blake Burris scoring from third on a wild pitch.
The Bucks led for most of the game until the Loggers scored a run in the top of the eighth to tie the game. Then, the Loggers took the lead after the top of tenth, but allowed the Bucks to score two runs in the bottom of the inning to seal their fate.
Much like on Monday, the pitching was solid for the Bucks as starting pitcher Patrick Mastrian pitched 6.0 innings while only giving up one earned run.
The Bucks will be back in action on Thursday in Rochester, Minnesota against the Honkers. That game is slated for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.
