Waterloo, IA – After recording just five hits in their Monday night game, the Bucks bounced back on Tuesday afternoon with a 12-hit day at the plate against the Loggers, splitting the series with a 9–5 win.
The Loggers went up early with three runs in the first two innings, a run that was highlighted by a two-run home run from starting pitcher and designated hitter Seth Cox. The Bucks cut their deficit to one in the bottom of the second, scoring two runs on back-to-back errors.
It wasn’t until the sixth inning when the Bucks finally pulled ahead, scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth and two runs in the seventh. Christian Smith led the way for the Bucks with 3 RBI and 3 stolen bases while Brandon Fish chipped in two RBI of his own.
The Bucks will head back on the road on Wednesday as they return to Duluth for the second time this season for a two game midweek series with the Huskies. Game one on is scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch
