Willmar, MN – The Waterloo Bucks (32–27) fought hard, but ultimately fell short on Sunday evening when the fell to the Willmar Stingers (42–16) in the second game of their weekend series, 4–2.
The two teams were tied through six innings, but RBI knocks by the Stingers in the bottom of the seventh and eighth would give them the lead for good.
Despite having the lowest home run total of any team in the league during the 2023 season, the Bucks got both of their runs on solo shots from Drew Donaldson and Marcus Heusohn.
The Bucks will now get three days off for the Great Plains All-Star break before heading up to Rochester on Thursday to start a four-game road trip.
