Rochester, MN – The Waterloo Bucks (33–27) won their first game following the Great Plains All-Star break, beating the Rochester Honkers (29–31), 14–6.
The Bucks dominated at the plate all afternoon, led by Aaron Ujimori who went 4-for-5 while recording a whopping seven RBIs. Ujimori also hit two home runs, one of which was a grand slam.
This is only the second game of the season where the Bucks have hit multiple home runs. When taking Marcus Heusohn’s own solo home run in account, this is the most home runs the Bucks have hit in a game this season.
Korey Bunselmeyer put up a quality start for Waterloo, pitching 6.0 innings and striking out six batters while giving up just three runs.
The Bucks will aim for the series sweep tomorrow, while also looking to gain some ground on the division-leading Loggers. First pitch for tomorrow at Mayo Field will be at 6:35 p.m.
