Waterloo, IA – The Bucks take game two against their rivals, the Rochester Honkers, with a 5-3 victory.

The Bucks attack early and strike first in the bottom of the 2nd inning with an RBI single from outfielder Larry Edwards Jr.

The Honkers had a run of their own in the top of the third with outfielder Draven Nushida scoring on a wild pitch.

Waterloo added another run in the bottom of the third inning with a one-run double off the bat of DH Ben Wilmes. Waterloo held the lead until Rochester scored two more runs in the fifth and they held the lead at 3-2  going into the bottom half; but the Bucks added right back with two and it was 4-3 Bucks headed to the sixth.
The Rochester bats were held silent from the fifth inning onward, collecting just two hits.

The final run of the game came from catcher Brennan Hudsons’ sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the sixth inning.

Waterloo’s bullpen arms stayed true and dialed in another great ‘by-committee’ outing.

The Bucks are back in action tomorrow as they travel to Eau Claire to face the Express in a two-game road series with the first pitch scheduled for 2:05 PM.
