Duluth, MN – The Waterloo Bucks made the trip to Duluth, Minnesota this morning to face the Duluth Huskies for the first time this season, and came away with a win in a close 4-2 contest.

Right-handed pitcher Wyatt Land had yet another great outing for the Bucks going 5.0 innings pitched only allowing one run on three hits and collecting six strikeouts. The Bucks starting pitching for the past few games has been some of the best we have seen all season.

The Bucks collected their first two runs in the top of the fifth inning with back-to-back RBI singles from infielders Ian Halverson and Kooper Schulte. The other two runs came in the top of the eighth and ninth innings when Larry Edwards Jr hit an RBI single (8th) and Lucas Moore hit into a fielder’s choice that scored Halverson (9th).

The Bucks and Huskies play again tomorrow for a Friday night lights game at Wade Stadium. Catch the first pitch at 6:35 PM.
