La Crosse, WI – The Bucks split the final series against the La Crosse Loggers at Copeland Park as the Buck offense showed up quickly and with an intense amount of force in a 14-4 victory.

In the top of the first inning, Lucas Moore (Lousiville) and Luke Finn (East Texas Baptist) both scored on separate fielder’s choices to give the Bucks a two-run lead, but in the bottom of the inning, the Loggers scored two of their runs and it looked like game two was going to have a very similar pathway to game one.

In the top of the fourth, Ricky Requejo (USAO) had his biggest hit of the season. A three-run double put the Bucks up by a bit more, then Danny Gavin (Gustavus Adolphus) a batter later scores Requejo with a single. This is the best offensive inning of the game for Waterloo, but not the end of their spell.

Between the top of the fourth through sixth innings for the Bucks, four more runs were scored on fielding blunders, fielders’ choices, and timely singles.

In the fourth and sixth innings for the Loggers, a single run was scored and that would end the scoring for the first half champions.

In the eighth and ninth innings, Waterloo continued their hot-hitting ways, scoring two runs in each inning and that’s all they needed to take game two and split the final series of the season against La Crosse.

The Bucks travel to Duluth, MN tomorrow to start a very crucial series against the Huskies. With first pitch is set for 6:35 PM at Wade Stadium.
