Mankato, MN – For the second day in a row, the Waterloo Bucks defeated their opponent by double digits, winning their first road contest of the season with a 14-1 victory over the Mankato MoonDogs.
This two-game stretch marks the first time the Bucks have won back-to-back games by ten runs or more since Saturday, July 20, 2013.
With this victory, the Bucks also reclaim sole possession of first place in the Great Plains East Division as they control a full one-game lead over the next two teams in the standings.
Left-handed bullpen arm Brody Leyboldt picked up the win with the longest relief appearance by any Buck so far this season. The southpaw pitched five scoreless frames, surrendering just two hits, two walks, and one hit-by-pitch while striking out four.
