Waterloo, IA – In their final home game of 2025, the Waterloo Bucks defeated the La Crosse Loggers 10-3 as Marcus Heusohn earned the Bucks’ single-season walk record on Thursday, Aug. 7.

Reaching with a base on balls in the bottom of the fourth, Heusohn earned his 66th walk of the year to give him the most by any Buck in a single season in the history of the organization. He now passes Patrick Ferguson who secured 65 base on balls in 2019. Heusohn finished the day with another walk added to his total to bring his new number to 67.

A couple innings prior, Heusohn’s McNeese State University teammate Larry Edwards also received a free pass to first base when he got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force home a run and give Waterloo a 2-1 lead. From there, the Bucks never looked back.

Caleb Parker had three of the five hits for Waterloo and produced a game-high three runs batted in.

Max Woll tallied 5 IP while allowing just three hits and one run. He also earned his second career Northwoods League victory and his first win as a member of the Bucks. Brandon Rice and Harrison Dubois added in scoreless frames in the final two innings.

Larry Edwards stole two bases to bring his single-season NWL record sum to 65 and his career number to 88. He is now just two swipes away from tying Joey Bonadonna for the all-time NWL record of 90.

Jimmy Nugent and Jake Bechtel both added in doubles as well.

The Bucks finish out their season in Eau Claire as they take on the Express each of the next two days. First pitch for Friday, Aug. 8, is scheduled for 6:35 pm (CDT).
