The Waterloo Bucks went on the road for one game against the Rochester Honkers and walked out with a 10-6 win.

The Bucks got on the board in the top of the first with an RBI single by Jayden Kiernan. Rochester followed suit with an RBI single from Bryce Matthews. In the bottom of the second, the Bucks got back-to-back home runs from Patrick Ferguson and Tristian Peterson to contribute to a four-run second and go up 5-1.

Rochester tacked on two runs to close the gap, but in the top of the sixth the Bucks pulled away. Waterloo got a bases-clearing double from Jayden Kiernan with the bags full to help a five-run sixth and put Waterloo up 10-3. Rochester would try and claw back with a trio of runs, but it wasn’t enough as Waterloo would hold on to win 10-6.

Blake Corsentino earned the win for Waterloo with five innings and three earned runs. Tanner Cunha took the loss for Rochester with four innings and as many earned runs.

Waterloo is back in action tomorrow at home against the Rochester Honkers with first pitch coming at 6:35 p.m.
